Local-first dictation. Whisper runs on your machine; your audio never leaves it.

Before you download

NVIDIA GPU required. Transcription runs on CUDA. A CPU-only path exists in the code but is not yet verified on machines without NVIDIA drivers, so treat an NVIDIA card with current drivers as a hard requirement for now. AMD and Intel GPUs are not accelerated.
The installer is not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen will show a “Windows protected your PC” warning. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Every download below lists its SHA-256 if you want to check what you have.
It is a large download. The bundled CUDA runtime accounts for most of it. Trimming that is planned.

GPU device selection: enumerate CUDA GPUs at startup, pick by name/VRAM in a dropdown
On-demand model loading: model loads when recording starts and unloads when done, freeing VRAM
"Keep model in VRAM" option: avoid repeated SSD-to-VRAM transfers between recordings
CPU fallback: select CPU as inference device when no compatible GPU is available
Startup no longer loads the model into VRAM — only downloads files if needed
Inference device and pre-load preference saved across sessions
